Born in Istanbul in 1983, he graduated from Marmara University Graphic Design with first-class honors. He worked as an art director in Turkey's leading advertising agencies and received numerous awards. He studied filmmaking at NYU. His first feature "Cemil Show" had its world premiere at the Rotterdam Film Festival.
