Born in Szamotuly, he graduated from the Cinematography and Television Production Department of the National Film, Television and Theater School in Lodz (1993). He has many awards to his credit, including : Award of the 21st Festival of Polish Feature Films in Gdynia, Talent of the Year 1996, Award of the Minister of Culture and Art for the best cinematography in Television Theater, “Young Art” Medal. He is considered one of the more talented cinematographers in Poland.
