Aida, the Movie

“This never happened, but it could've happened.”

Aída (Carmen Machi) wakes to find herself trapped in a film about the sitcom she used to star in. Around her, Luisma (Paco León) and the rest of the old cast move through scenes that feel rehearsed and recursive, each one a loop that refuses to break. The film suggests that some people spend their lives playing versions of themselves so thoroughly that the difference between the performance and the person stops mattering at all.
