Cremaster 2

Matthew Barney's Cremaster 2 is a gothic Western set in the plains of the American West, a place the film treats as both landscape and body. Gary Gilmore (Matthew Barney) and Harry Houdini (Norman Mailer) move through it, while a system that wants to stay whole starts to divide. Above all the film turns on Gary and his mother Bessie (Lauren Pine), and the pull each has on the other.
