Cremaster 5

The Queen of Chain (Ursula Andress) rules a late-nineteenth-century Budapest in grief, and the opera she lives inside is sung entirely in Hungarian. Three figures rise in her mind: the Diva (Matthew Barney), the Magician (Matthew Barney), who stands in for Houdini, and the Giant (Matthew Barney). Barney builds the film as five acts of staged opera, with the cast moving through each one like singers on a set.
