“Mighty as Goliath!”

Synopsis

King David (Gregory Peck) rules Israel as a warrior-king who has won every battle and still goes home to a throne that feels cold. His eye lands on Bathsheba (Susan Hayward), the wife of Uriah (Kieron Moore), a soldier of his own army, and he takes what is not his. Henry King films the affair as the first crack in a man the whole kingdom treats as God's chosen, and David has to live inside it.
