De Gaulle: Liberté

France is fractured between Vichy and the Resistance when Charles de Gaulle (Simon Abkarian) leaves London to lead the Free French forces back toward home. He must hold together soldiers like Général Leclerc (Niels Schneider) and navigate the competing claims of rival officers, all while the war itself slips toward its end. Baudry shoots the campaign in muted tones and tight spaces, letting the weight of choosing France's future settle over every conversation.
