De Gaulle: Résistance

“The general that refused to surrender.”

London, June 1940. France has signed the armistice and surrendered to Nazi occupation, but General Charles de Gaulle (Simon Abkarian) refuses to accept defeat. He escapes to broadcast a call for resistance, a solitary voice against Nazi conquest. With Winston Churchill (Simon Russell Beale) as his uncertain ally, de Gaulle must hold together a fractured movement of exiles, knowing that if he fails, France itself disappears.
