Edward, My Son
“Broadway Stage Hit . . . Now on the Screen !”
Arnold Boult (Spencer Tracy) is a ruthless businessman who wants only the best for his son Edward, and he has never let anything stand in the way of getting it. George Cukor opens after the boy's death, with Arnold looking back over his unhappy marriage to Evelyn (Deborah Kerr). Edward is never seen on screen, and what lingers is how far a father's love can go before it turns into harm to the very person it was meant for.
