Elephant Boy
Toomai (Sabu) is a young mahout who wants to be taken seriously as a handler of elephants, the way his father and the older men are. His chance comes when a British expedition sets out across India to round up wild elephants and he is drawn into leading it. Zoltan Korda and Robert Flaherty built the film from Kipling's "Toomai of the Elephants," and it closes on the boy, Sabu in his first role, riding his elephant at the head of the herd.
