Evolution

The film starts in a World War II memory that feels more like a nightmare, then moves ahead through three generations to modern-day Berlin. Éva (Lili Monori), her daughter Léna (Annamária Láng) and her grandson Jónás (Goya Rego) each carry a past the family has never been able to talk about. Kornél Mundruczó, working from a script by Kata Wéber drawn from her own family's history, tells it in three separate chapters.
