Sixteen-year-old Lindy (Maddie Ziegler) moves to a new high school hoping to reinvent herself, then gets a diagnosis that upends everything she thought she knew about her body and her future. Her mother Rita (Emily Hampshire) doesn't know how to talk about it. Her boyfriend Adam (D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai) doesn't understand why she's pulling away. McGlynn frames the chaos of adolescence without flinching, letting the awkwardness and tenderness live side by side.
