Stella Grant (Haley Lu Richardson) is seventeen, sick with cystic fibrosis, and determined to live as normal a life as the hospital will allow. She meets Will Newman (Cole Sprouse), another CF patient on her floor, and they're drawn to each other across the enforced distance.
