Goodbye, My Friend

Étienne (Hakim Jemili), now 35, lives in a small French town where his childhood bully Jean-Pat has just died. He feels nothing at first, no relief or closure, only the old weight of years of cruelty. But somehow he ends up organizing the funeral, and as he moves through the arrangements, Jean-Pat's ghost keeps finding new ways to unspool him, the dead man's grip tighter than it ever was alive.
