“Viewer beware, you're in for a scare.”

Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) moves to a new town and wants to befriend his neighbor's daughter, Hannah (Odeya Rush). When the creatures from R.L. Stine's (Jack Black) horror manuscripts escape into the real world, turning the town into a nightmare, Zach and Hannah have to work with the author himself to stop them. The monsters are spreading fast, and if they can't seal them back into the books, their entire town will be consumed.
