Green Fish

Mak-dong (Han Suk-kyu) comes home from the army to find his town changed past recognition. Before long he is working for gangsters in the nightlife trade, taking orders from Bae Tae-gon (Moon Sung-keun) and drawn toward Mi-ae (Shim Hye-jin). Lee Chang-dong, a novelist and high school teacher before this, made it as his first feature, and he keeps the crime story close to a man who has nowhere else to go.
