Hayao Miyazaki and the Heron
Studio Ghibli's workspace becomes the stage for documenting Hayao Miyazaki's creation of The Boy and the Heron, his first feature in a decade. Arakawa observes the director and producer Toshio Suzuki (Toshio Suzuki) through the film's production, capturing animation work and conversation. In the finished frames, light catches the pencil strokes where the heron takes shape, almost translucent against the screen.
