House of Ga'a

In the Oyo Empire, the ruthless chief Bashorun Ga'a (Femi Branch) accumulates power by making and breaking kings, until he discovers that his own son Oyemekun (Mike Afolarin) has begun to question his methods. Austen-Peters films the palace in jeweled golds and crimsons, the rituals and violence moving with the weight of opera. The bond between father and son becomes the crack that will undo everything Ga'a has built.
