House of Sayuri

“Fear awakens.”

A family settles into a new house in rural Japan, unaware of its violent past. Soon they encounter Sayuri, a girl who was murdered within these walls and now moves through the rooms as a restless presence. Shiraishi traps the camera in narrow hallways and cramped corners, and when Sayuri appears, she stands perfectly still, watching them from the dark.
