I Even Met Happy Gypsies

Bora (Bekim Fehmiu) is a charming, mean-spirited Roma man in a village in northern Vojvodina, and he has set his heart on the much younger Tisa (Gordana Jovanović), whose father is already offering her in marriage. Aleksandar Petrović casts Roma actors who speak Romani, and the film moves through the village's weddings, quarrels and bargains. Bora's older wife Lenče (Olivera Katarina) stays quiet in the house, and he keeps wanting what he doesn't have.
