A group of shoplifters pulls off heists across a near-future city where the rules keep shifting. Corvette (Keke Palmer), Sade (Naomi Ackie), Mariah (Taylour Paige), Jianhu (Poppy Liu), and Violeta (Eiza González) move through the streets as a crew, each one sharp and restless in their own way. Boots Riley spins their petty crimes into absurdist chaos, and by the end, it's not the heists that matter but who they've become together.
