I Swear

Marco (Julien Ernwein) works at a recycling center in Forbach, drinking through his shifts and drifting through his thirties without direction. Drawn by lot to serve on an assize court jury, he must now weigh evidence against a young man (Souleymane Cissé) accused of arson and manslaughter. Samuel Theis watches Marco stumble toward a verdict he is least equipped to render, each detail of the trial pressing harder against a man who cannot even compass his own life.
