Jayeshbhai Jordaar

Jayesh Patel (Ranveer Singh) is a mild, soft-spoken son in a Gujarati household that his father, Pruthvish (Boman Irani), rules without argument. When his pregnant wife Mudra (Shalini Pandey) is pushed toward ending the pregnancy because the child is a girl, Jayesh takes her and runs, and the whole family sets out after them. Divyang Thakkar plays the pursuit as comedy, though the argument underneath is plain: whether a daughter gets to be born at all.
