Kayara

Kayara dreams of joining the Chasqui, an all-male messenger group that carries news across the Andes, but her village has never sent a girl. She trains in secret, learning to run the mountain paths and read the land the way the messengers do. Zelada fills the film with the speed and light of someone discovering what her body can do, and Kayara pushes toward a tradition that was never built to let her in.
