Ambika (Kajol) wants to protect her daughter after her husband dies under mysterious circumstances. She takes the girl to his ancestral village seeking answers, but the place hides a demonic curse that hunts them through its narrow streets and dark rooms. Ambika fights back against forces that demand she choose between her daughter's life and her own.
