Three young women in Vienna are working toward the same thing, a place in front of the camera, though no one explains what is waiting there. Vivian (Vivian Bartsch) will do anything to reach a magazine cover, while Lisa (Lisa Grossmann) fills her days with plastic surgery and cocaine, and Tanja (Tanja Petrovsky) keeps to tarot cards and yoga. Ulrich Seidl watches the three of them circle one another, each holding her own hope while the others hold theirs.
