Molière's Last Stage

On the night of February 17th, 1673, Molière (Laurent Lafitte) collapses onstage during "Le Malade Imaginaire" but refuses to leave. As he bleeds through the final act, the theatre fills with ghosts: Armande Béjart (Stacy Martin) and Madeleine Béjart (Jeanne Balibar), circling him like memories made flesh. Molière fights to transform his death into one final performance, turning his agony into a laugh that might outlast the pain.
