Naples to New York

Domenico Garofalo (Pierfrancesco Favino), a man carrying the weight of post-war Naples, dreams of escape to New York. His children Celestina (Dea Lanzaro) and Carmine (Antonio Guerra) share that hunger, and together they set out across the ocean in secret, leaving behind the rubble and hunger of their neighborhood. Salvatores ends on the image of them arriving in a new city, the harbor behind them, their faces turned toward streets they have only imagined.
