Never Alone

In Helsinki during the Continuation War, Abraham Stiller (Ville Virtanen), a Finnish-Jewish businessman, scrambles to hide Jews from the Gestapo. He and his wife Vera (Nina Hedström) navigate an impossible calculation of which people can be moved, which safe houses still hold, which officials can be bargained with. By the film's end, Stiller has exhausted every connection and resource he has, and some of those he tried to save are already gone.
