Juan Preciado (Tenoch Huerta Mejía) returns to Comala, the desert town where his father Pedro Páramo (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) built an empire. The landscape is haunted by memory and the ghosts of those bound to Páramo's will, and as Juan moves through the village, the living and the dead blur together. Rodrigo Prieto photographs the dusty streets in washed amber light, and what Juan learns about his father's hunger for power costs more than he came prepared to pay.
