“Are you ready to make television history?”

Chris Hansen (Robert Pattinson) is the host of To Catch a Predator, a reality show that broadcasts the confrontation of accused predators in their homes. He works with Xavier Von Erck (Matthew Maher) and a team of vigilantes to set the traps, then arrives with a camera crew to film the moment of exposure. As the show's success grows, Hansen risks his own moral clarity for ratings.
