Rise and Fall of a Small Film Company

A film is meant to start shooting, but the money for it has not been found. Director Gaspard Bazin (Jean-Pierre Léaud) turns to Jean Almereyda (Jean-Pierre Mocky), a once-fashionable producer whose fortunes have slipped, and the matter of casting Almereyda's wife Eurydice (Marie Valera) complicates things. Jean-Luc Godard made it for television, setting the talk of financing and seduction against the film's own unsteady production.
