Slack Bay

Two inspectors, Machin and Malfoy, tramp across the beaches of Slack Bay in the summer of 1910, hunting for tourists who keep vanishing. The trail leads to a community of fishermen and to the van Peteghems, a wealthy family of holidaymakers, among them André (Fabrice Luchini) and Aude (Juliette Binoche). Bruno Dumont puts the two households side by side, and young Ma Loute Brufort (Brandon Lavieville) is caught in the middle.
