Sonora: The Devil’s Highway

In 1931 the Chinese are being expelled from Sonora, and the United States is deporting Mexicans and sealing its border. Twelve people pack into a 1929 Chrysler to cross the desert toward Baja California, among them Emeterio (Joaquín Cosío) and Alma (Giovanna Zacarías). Alejandro Springall puts them in that heat with too little water and too little trust, and Emeterio has to decide how much he will risk for strangers.
