Miles Morales, a Brooklyn teenager, discovers he has spider powers when a portal tears open between dimensions. Peter B. Parker (voice) (Jake Johnson), a burned-out Spider-Man from another world, lands in his neighborhood and reluctantly agrees to teach him survival. The film's fractured animation style shifts with each dimension they enter, mirroring Miles's collision between who he is and who everyone assumes he should become.
