Striking The Palace

Eva (Lucie Charles-Alfred), twenty years old, takes a job cleaning rooms at one of Paris's grandest palace hotels. She joins Simone (Corinne Masiero), Safiatou (Marie-Sohna Condé), Violette (Salimata Kamate), and Aïssata (Maïmouna Gueye), chambermaids who scrub and polish the suites where a single night costs more than their yearly wage. The work grinds them down, but these women find their own kind of glory in each other.
