“When real life sucks, REEL life rules!”

It's summer in New Jersey, and a group of teenagers spend their days sneaking into the 4:30 matinee at the local multiplex. Brian David (Austin Zajur) falls for Melody Barnegat (Siena Agudong), a girl who shows up at the theater with her own reasons for hiding out there. Kevin Smith follows these kids through the easy hours between school and home, where the real stakes are whether any of them will find the courage to say what they actually feel.
