The Arrangement

Paris, 1908. Céleste (Galatea Bellugi), a young maid, enters the household of André (Swann Arlaud) and his wife Victoire (Louise Chevillotte), a woman uncertain how to play the role expected of her. The two women move through the same rooms, bound by work and proximity, each watching the other across an distance that convention forbids them to cross. What grows between them, unspoken and careful, becomes the truest thing in either of their lives.
