The Beloved

Esteban Martínez (Javier Bardem) arrives at his daughter Emilia's (Victoria Luengo) house with nowhere else to go, and the careful distance between them begins to fracture. He moves into her spare room, and old wounds surface in the kitchen, the hallway, the quiet of evening. What hangs between them now is whether either one can afford to let the other stay.
