The Dragon Painter
A young man lives wild in the mountains, convinced that the princess he is promised to has been turned into a dragon, and he paints her again and again. Kano Indara (Edward Peil Sr.), a master painter, takes Tatsu (Sessue Hayakawa) in as a disciple, and William Worthington shot the silent drama in Yosemite Valley. Tatsu paints because he is longing for someone, and the film treats that longing as the source of his gift.
