In the 23rd century, a cab driver named Korben Dallas (Bruce Willis) finds a wounded woman named Leeloo (Milla Jovovich) crash-landing into his taxi. She is the last of an alien race, awakened to help save Earth from an approaching force of pure destruction. Luc Besson hurtles through neon-lit space stations and bustling future cities, but Korben discovers that protecting her means losing the ordinary life he thought he wanted.
