The Last Journey

“People say that you shouldn't recreate what has been. Why not?”

Filip Hammar and Fredrik Wikingsson drive their aging father Lars through the French countryside, trying to pull him back toward life. What begins as a sentimental journey becomes a collision between the son's hope and his father's indifference, each mile revealing how little they know how to reach each other. The car windows frame empty roads and small towns, the landscape beautiful and utterly indifferent to their struggle.
