The Lucky Texan
“Action all the way, a hundred thrills in a fight for GOLD and a GIRL!”
Jerry Mason (John Wayne) is a young Texan who teams up with an old rancher, Jake "Grandy" Benson (George "Gabby" Hayes), and the pair strike gold on a mine of their own. Robert N. Bradbury, who also wrote the picture, puts them in the way of a villain named Harris (Lloyd Whitlock) and a woman, Betty Benson (Barbara Sheldon). Under the chases and the stuntwork of Yakima Canutt, it is a plain story about what a sudden fortune does to the people around it.
