The Lychee Road

Li Shande (Dong Chengpeng), a minor official, is ordered to deliver fresh lychees five thousand miles from Lingnan to Chang'an for Yang Guifei's (Andy Lau) birthday. He assembles a ragged crew of misfits, including Su Liang (White-K) and A Tong (Sabrina Zhuang), and sets out on a route where the fruit spoils faster than horses can carry it. The sun-baked road stretches behind them, dust rising in clouds that blur the distance between ambition and ruin.
