The Married Woman
“She Loves Two Men... She is Married to One!”
In Paris in 1964, Charlotte (Macha Méril) splits her days between her husband Pierre (Philippe Leroy), a pilot, and her lover Robert (Bernard Noël), an actor. Jean-Luc Godard follows her through a city of billboards and magazine pages, where she seems to be shopping for a self. The two men want different things from her, and neither seems to ask what she wants.
