The Monuments Men
“It was the greatest art heist in history”
Lt. Frank Stokes (George Clooney) wants the great works of European art back before the Nazis can lose or destroy them. So he gathers seven museum directors, architects and art historians, none of them young and none trained for combat, and ships them to the front lines of World War II. Clooney, who also co-wrote it with Grant Heslov, plays the whole thing as a loose ensemble picture, with Matt Damon, Bill Murray and John Goodman trading scenes.
