The Painted

The Elster family moves into a mansion they've inherited from a distant relative, along with money they desperately need. Evelyn (Aleksa Palladino) settles her husband Adam (Sean Bridgers) and their children into rooms that feel too grand, too quiet, too much like a trap already sprung. Sasha Sibley builds the dread through what the family sees in mirrors and peripheral spaces, tightening the frame until nowhere in the house feels safe.
