The Prefab People
In 1982 Hungary, a young couple lives in a prefab apartment with a baby and an older child. The Wife (Judit Pogány) and the Husband (Róbert Koltai) are slowly worn down by the sameness of their days, which the film follows in a naturalistic, documentary manner. Béla Tarr shoots it in black and white on 35 mm, and the small flat holds the pair, the baby and the child in one cramped frame.
