The Rivals of Amziah King

“Ain’t no one all bad or all good.”

Amziah King (Matthew McConaughey) is a man trying to hold together a life in a small town, where family and business obligations tangle in ways that leave him trapped. When Dob McCoy (Kurt Russell) arrives, the fragile balance tips toward violence and betrayal. Patterson films the mounting tension in close domestic spaces, letting the dread accumulate through glances and silences until everything fractures.
