The White Balloon

Razieh (Aida Mohammadkhani), a small girl, sets off through the streets with the money her mother gave her to buy a goldfish for the new year. Everyone she meets along the way, from an old lady to a soldier, sees a child holding cash and tries to get it from her. Jafar Panahi follows her at her own height, with her brother Ali (Mohsen Kafili) always somewhere close behind.
